Build The Kingdom: A School Building Campaign
The Vision:
All across Liberia, children are longing for a chance to learn. In a country where the educational system is overcrowded and under-resourced with a high percentage of overage students and unqualified teachers, learning is a significant challenge. Many towns and villages don’t even have a school—and no opportunities for kids to learn, dream, and plan for a better future.
By God’s grace, One Body One Hope already supports schools in some of the areas of greatest need. But our vision goes further—we want to strengthen our existing schools to make them vibrant Christian institutions that not only teach reading and math, but also shape hearts for Christ.
When we build schools, we are not just raising walls—we are raising hope. We are giving children the opportunity to know God, to grow in wisdom, and to become leaders who will bring lasting change to Liberia.
The Goal:
To build six Christian schools (Nursery–Grade 6) in communities where children have no access to quality, affordable education.
Each school will be built in an L-shape with detached bathrooms.The structures are designed for natural light, ventilation, and future expansion by adding a second wing to form a U for Grades 7–9.
One Body One Hope provides the leadership, technical oversight, and materials for the foundation, pillars, and roof. The local community contributes labor and handmade mud-and-straw blocks for the walls.
Each completed school will include:
One classroom per grade
One desk per pupil
Concrete floors
Separate bathrooms for boys, girls, and teachers
The Transformation:
When these six schools are complete, they will:
Provide safe, high-quality classrooms for children with no other opportunity to learn
Equip trained Christian teachers for success
Strengthen six communities with affordable, gospel-centered education
Anchor Liberia’s next generation in biblical truth, wisdom, and integrity
Help Liberia battle both material and spiritual poverty
The Cost:
The overall cost to build all six schools is $200,000. Here’s a break down of the overall costs involved in building these schools:
$15 - desk
$3,500 - classroom
$34,000 - school
$200,000 - 6 schools
One Body One Hope has generously been offered a $100,000 matching grant to launch the Build the Kingdom campaign — which means every dollar you give will be doubled toward building these six schools.
